Kārakaprakaraṇa (Siddhānta Kaumudī)

This is a Sanskrit grammar commentary on the Kārakaprakaraṇa by the renowned 17th-century Sanskrit grammarian and commentator Bhaṭṭojī Dīkṣita, who lived in Mahārāṣtra. The manuscript closely aligns with the text of Siddhānta Kaumudī and contains both the sūtras and their corresponding commentaries. While the manuscript itself is complete, the text is incomplete. The content primarily focuses on the concept of kāraka, which explains the syntactic and semantic relationships between nouns or pronouns and other elements within a sentence, such as the subject, object, or instrument. Title is taken from marginal abbreviations (f. 16a). The manuscript is written in 7 lines per leaf. 16 leaves are foliated 1–15, [16], upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins; significant syllables, words, or phrases highlighted in red throughout.




Kārakavibhakti

This work on Sanskrit grammar, focusing specifically on the concept of kāraka, which explains the relationships between nouns or pronouns and other elements within a sentence such as the roles of subject, object, or instrument. The last (f. 27b) contains a Hindu calendrical chart that is unrelated to the main content.Title is taken from incipit (f. 1a). The manuscript is written in 10–15 lines per leaf. 27 leaves are foliated 1–26, 27, lower right verso. Mistakes are blacked out, some corrections and additions in margins; significant syllables, words, or phrases highlighted in red throughout.




Karavīramāhātmya (Part of Padmapurāṇa)

The manuscript of Karavīramāhātmya text about greatness of Kolhapur devi Mahālaṣmi. This work is a part of the Padmapurāṇa. Karavīra is the old name of Kolhapur, a city located in the state of Maharashtra, India. The godesses Mahālaṣmi is one of the 3 and half shakti peeth from Maharashtra. Manuscript consists glory of the goddess Mahālaṣmi. Title from colophon (f. 16b); alternate title Karavīrakāṇḍa from colophon (f. 12a). Written in 9 lines per leaf.Mistakes covered over in yellow or blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins; vertical margins marked with double line in pencil and penciled guide lines for the text are drawn throughout.; Written on European stock of paper with a watermark depicting a crown above Victory next to a shield with cross.




Karavīramāhātmya (1-19)

The work of Karavīramāhātmya text about greatness of Kolhapur goddess Mahālaṣmi. Karavīra is the old name of Kolhapur, a city located in the state of Maharashtra, India. The godesses Mahālaṣmi is one of the 3 and half shakti peeth from Maharashtra. Manuscript consists glory of the goddess Mahālaṣmi. It is in a discussion between the legendary sage Agasti and his wife Lopāmudrā. Text is incomplete containing full chapters from 1–19 (f. 1b–49a) and ending in chapter 20 with jāpyate paśavaṃputrādha (f. 58a). Title is taken from colophon of chapter 19 (f. 49a). The manuscript is written in 9-10 lines per leaf. 59 leaves are foliated 1–22, 24, 24–58, [i], upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins.




Kārikāvalī

A Nyāya-Vaiśeṣika text, also known as Kārikāvalī or Paribhāṣāpariccheda, was composed by Viśvanātha Nyāyapañcānana, the son of Vidyānivāsa. This manuscript contains the full text with 170 kārikās (concise verses stating doctrinal principles) and discusses topics such as pratyakṣa, anumāna, śabda, smṛti, dravya, and guṇa. Title is taken from colophon (f. 9b). The manuscript is written in 10 lines per leaf. 9 leaves are foliated 1–9, upper left and lower right verso. Two items, Ms. Coll. 390, Item 2684 and Item 2685, are parts of a single manuscript. Mistakes are covered in yellow or blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins; significant syllables, words, or phrases highlighted in red; vertical margins marked with double red line; some folios are treated with yellow turmeric powder to protect the manuscript from insects. The manuscript is same as 376. but the scribe is different.




Karkaṭīvrata (Part of Skandapurāṇa)

The manuscript is titled as Karkaṭīvrata and is sourced from the Skanda Purāṇa. It outlines the procedure of the vrata (ritual ) along with its associated kathā (narrative). The vrata kathā is presented in the form of a dialogue between the Sūta and the Ṛṣis. The Karkaṭīvrata primarily involves the worship of the deities Śiva and Pārvatī. Title is taken from incipit (f. 1a); alternate title Karkaṭīvratakathā from colophon (f. 9b). The manuscript is written in 9–11 lines per leaf.; 9 leaves are foliated 1–9, lower right verso. Mistakes are blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins. It is written on European paper with watermarks. The same scribe and paper were also used for Item 1447, Item 1453, Item 1455, Item 1456, and Item 1459, and may have originally been from the same manuscript as one or more of these items.




Karmaprakāśikāvṛtti (commentary on Tājikatantrasāra or Karmaprakāśa.)

The work Karmaprakāśikāvṛtti is a commentary by Nārāyaṇasāmudrika or Nārāyaṇa Bhaṭṭa, (1725 CE) on the work Tājikatantrasāra or Karmaprakāśa by Samarasiṃha. The Commentator is the son of Mādhava Śrīgrāmakara of Kāśyapa gotra, a Cittapāvana brahmin. Text starts on (f.1b). The text consists different chapters combination of planets, signs, and houses in a horoscope that create unique, often life-altering outcomes. It has chapters (Adhikaraṇa) first Adhikaraṇa(32 verses) (f.1b–3a), Ṣodaśayogādhikār (18verses )(f.3a–6a), Sahamādhikāra (7 verses) (f.6a–6b), Niṣedhikāra (7 verses) ((f.6b–7b), Ariṣtādhikāra(33 verses) (f.7b–10b), Nirṇayādhikāra(9 verses) (f.10b–11a), Śarirādhikāra (7 verses) (f.11a–11b), Āyurdayādhikāra (18 verses) (11b–13b), Daśādhikāra (12 verses) (13b–14b), Nidhanādhikāra (5 verses) (f.14b –15a), Doṣādhikāra (54 verses)(f.15a –18b), Prakṛtyādhikāra (23 verses) (f.18b –20a), Karmapratyavadhikāra (37 verses) (f.20a–23a), last chapter is incomplete so manuscript is incomplete. (f.1a) is not connected to the main text. Title taken from marginal abbreviations. Written in 13 lines per leaf. 24 leaves foliated 1–24, upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins; significant phrases highlighted in red; vertical margins marked with double red lines.




Karmaprakāśikāvṛtti (commentary on Tājikatantrasāra or Karmaprakāśa.)

Title present in colophon (f. 10a). Written in 13 lines per folio. 10 leaves foliated 1–10, upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins.
