Ādityavrata

Ādityavrata is part of the Skandapurāṇa. Ādityavrata is a set of rituals, offerings like pūjā and vrattas (observances) like dietary restrictions or fasting of a particular kind dedicated to the Sun deity Āditya. In particular vows performed on the first Sunday during the month of Āśvina (September-October) culminates into gifts. The Skandapurāṇa details different types of Āditya vratas. All these vrattas are set to be fruitful to the bearer in different ways like in the form of prosperity, salvation or progeny. This Ms. is written in 7–8 lines per folio. Text is written only on one side of the folio. The ink of the text has seeped through to the other side. Cover and back page contain title. Āhnikaprakaraṇa

Āhnīkaprakaraṇa is a part of the larger work Ācāraratna. This text functions as a priest manual for various rituals including funeral rites and various domestic rituals and observances. There is a section in the Ms. for the worship of supreme Hindu deity Parvātī in the form of Gauri. This Ms. is written in 9–10 lines per folio. Alternate title Aduḥkhanavamīvratakathā present in begining of text in (f. 1a). Title present in colophon (f. 7b). There are double red vertical margins on each side of the folio. Advaitānanda

Advaitānanda is the 13 Adhyāya (chapter) of Pañcadaśī composed by Vidyāraṇya Svāmī also known as Mādhava which has in total 16 chapters. Brahmānanda is the name of the prakaraṇa/section from chapter 11–15th in which Advaitānanda is the third. It is a philosophical treatise on Advaita(non-dualistic) Vedānta school of Hindu philosophy with a commentary running parallel Tātparyabodhinī by Rāmakṛṣṇa. The chapter dvelves into the nature of bliss, obstacles to self realization and the illusionary nature of universe. This Ms. is written in 15–17 lines per folio. Cover and back page both contain title. Alternate commentary title Advaitānandavyākhyā from colophon (f. 13a). There are double red vertical margin lines on each side of the folio. The double Pūrṇa Virāma (full stop) style vertical brackets are in red. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. This Ms. was originally part of a larger Ms. that was divided into parts before its purchase, but sold together with Ms. Coll. 390; Items 890, 891, 892, 893, 894, 895, 896, 897, 898, 899, 900, 902, 903 and 905 according to the penn. cataloguer.
