Bhāgavatamāhātmya

This is an incomplete text of the Bhagavatamāhātmya, a work compiled from the Skāndapurāṇa (four khaṇḍas), Pādmapurāṇa (six khaṇḍas), Brahmavaivartapurāṇa, Gaurītantra (five paṭalas) and Vāyupurāṇa. This text taken from the second part (uttarakhaṇḍa) of the Padmapurāṇa.




Naukārabālāvabodha

Kavikalpadruma dhātupāṭha

A Sanskrit vyākaraṇa text that gives a metrical compilation of verbal roots (dhātupāṭha), arranged according to their endings. The author is Vopadeva (1250–1300), son of Bhiṣak Keśava and disciple of Dhaneśa. His patron was Hemādri, minister to Mahādeva of Devagiri (1260–1271).




Mahāsiddhānta and Brahmasphuṭasiddhānta

This is a composite manuscript with two Jyotiṣa-śāstra texts. Mahāsiddhānta is by Āryabhaṭa II (930). Brahmasphuṭasiddhānta is authored by Brahmagupta, son of Jiṣṇu, who lived during the reign of Vyāghramukha of Cāpavaṃśa.




Abhidhānacintāmaṇi and Liṅgānuśāsana

Texts on Vyākaraṇa by the Jaina monk and scholar Hemacandra (1088–1172/73), born in Ḍhunaka near Āhmedabad. The Abhidhānacintāmaṇi has six kāṇḍas on synonyms (it’s second part, on homonyms, is said by some to be spurious). The Liṅgānuśāsana is appended. Hemacandra was born in Ḍhunaka near Āhmedabad. His patron was the Caulukya king of Saurāṣṭra, Jayasiṃha Siddharāja (1094–1143).




Kaviśikṣā, Āloāṇa, Maunaikādaśīcaritra, Yantrarājaṭīkā, Nārāyaṇopaniṣada

This is a composite manuscript, with five texts: Kaviśikṣā or Kāvyakalpalatā by Amaracandra and Arisiṁha; Āloāṇa; Maunaikādaśīcaritra; Yantrarājaṭīkā by Amalacandrasūri, and Nārāyaṇopaniṣada.




Hoḍācakra

An elementary treatise on astrology that describes the auspicious months, times, positions of stars and other matters.




Smṛti

A note by Eugene Burnouf (1801–52) describes this as a ‘collection of Smrītis or compilations of laws [ascribed to] Viṣṇu, Bharadvādja, Bṛhaspati, Dakṣa, Yama, Likhita, Aṅgirā, Nārada, Yājñavalkya, in Sanskrit and in Telugu characters...’




Setumāhātmya

The Setumāhātmya describes the Rāmasetu, and is found in the Bhaviśyapurāṇa. A note by Eugene Burnouf (1801–52) says, ‘“The Grandeur of the Bridge”; collection of traditions relating to the extremity of the Indian peninsula, an ancient and curious manuscript...’




Śārṅgadharasaṃhitā

An incomplete Dharmaśāstra work by Śārṅgadhara (c. 13th century, the period of the ruler Hammīra with whose court he is associated).




Harṣacarita

An ākhyāyikā kāvya that tells stories from the life of king Harṣavadhana of Sthāṇvīśvara by Bāṇabhaṭṭa (570–650), whose patron was King Harṣavardhana (606–648) of Sthāṇvīśvara (Kanauj). Bhau Daji commissioned the manuscript, the scribe was Ramacandra Datara.
