About this Manuscript
This text belongs to Aitareya-Āraṇyaka II and includes chapters four, five, six, and seven, collectively titled Ātmaṣaṭaka. Chapters four, five, and six of Aitareya-Āraṇyaka II together constitute the Aitareya Upaniṣad, while the seventh chapter contains only a single mantra. Thus, the present text actually covers the entire Aitareya Upaniṣad and also includes the seventh chapter of Aitareya-Āraṇyaka II. This work is similar to Item 1190. This Ms. is written in 9–10 lines per folio. Cover page contains title. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant syllables and words rubbed with orange powder for highlighting.
