About this Lecture

Chaired by Sudha Gopalakrishnan, Executive Director, IIC-International Research Division.

Over the past decade, the Sanskrit Research Institute has built digital tools for Sanskrit and, more recently, the Khoe-Sān languages of southern Africa. This talk surveys SRI's work so far and what the volunteer-powered, Auroville-based institute is building next.

About the speaker: Martin Gluckman studied Sanskrit at ANU under Dr. McComas Taylor after training in computer science in South Africa, and founded SRI in Auroville in 2011.
