About this Manuscript

This is a commentary on Bhṛguvallī of the Taittirīyopaniṣad. The Taittirīyopaniṣad consists of three vallīs (chapters), the last of which is known as the Bhṛguvallī, and is also referred to separately as the Bhṛgūpaniṣad or Bhṛguvallyupaniṣad. The commentator also known as Dāmodaraśāstrin or Dāmodarācārya. This Ms. is written in 7–11 lines per folio. Cover and back page is blank. Title present in colophon (f. 4a). Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant syllables and words rubbed with orange powder for highlighting. The Ms. is written by the same scribe as Ms. Coll. 390; Items 1160, 1161, 1165, 1166, 1167, 1168, 1169, and 1172.
