Āsavādhikāra

Āsavādhikāra is a text which discribes the preperation and properties of Āsava and Āriṣṭa which are special self fermented alcoholic drinks using herbs, jaggery and other ingredients. The concoctions are known to have long shelf life and quick action. It is believed to cure variety of ailmints like digestive issues. The text is probably inspired from reputed Ayurvedic works of Caraka (Caraka Saṃhitā), Suśruta (Suśruta Saṃhitā), Vāgbhaṭa (Aṣṭaṅga hṛdaya). This Ms. is written in 17–19 lines per folio. Cover page is blank. Title present in the begining (f. 1b). There are double black vertical margins on each side of the folio. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant syllables and words rubbed with orange powder for highlighting. Some folios are rubbed with yellow turmeric powder.
