About this Manuscript

Bhāgavatāntargatapārijātādhyāya is the 10th canto of this purāṇic text. The text is listed among the18 Mahāpurāṇas. The text primarily belongs to the Vaiṣṇava philosophy. This Ms. contains Adhyāya-59 (1b–5a), Adhyāya-60 (5a–10b). The text contains the story of Kṛṣṇa's battle with demon Naraka who had kidnapped 16000 princesses from various kingdoms and kept them captive. They are eventually rescued by Kṛṣṇa after the killing of Naraka. There is also playful interastion between Kṛṣṇa and his wife Rukmiṇī. This Ms. is written in 9 lines per folio. Cover and back page contain title. There are double red vertical margins present on each side of the folio. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant syllables and words present in each side of the folio.
