About this Manuscript
"The poem by Jayadeva (12th century ce) with the Padabhāvārthacandrikā commentary of Śrīkāntamiśra. Gītagovinda is a 12-cantos lyrical poem about the love sports of Kṛṣṇa and Rādhā.Jayadeva was the court poet of King Lakṣmaṇasena of Bengal (c. 1185–1205). It is an incomplete manuscript. It has an intermediate colophon for sarga 5 (folio 38b).Corruption occurs from folia 40 to end, corresponding to sarga 6–8 in the Nirnaya Sagara Press edition (Bombay 1904)."
