Bhūtaviveka

This text is on Advaita (non-dualistic) Vedānta school of Hindu philosophy. Bhūtaviveka is also known as Pañcamahābhūtaviveka or Mahābhūtaviveka. The manuscript has a second chapter of the Pañcadaśī.(Bhūtaviveka). The text dealing with a study of the nature of the five elements (Śabda, Sparśa, Rūpa,Rasa, Gaṅdha) and their differentiation from Brahman leads toMokṣa. A work contains part of an extensive commentary called the Tātparyabodhinī by Rāmakṛṣṇa running parallel, above and below, the main root text. The manuscript is written in 8–13 lines per leaf. Mistakes covered over in yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in margins. Vertical margins marked with double red line. Title page has decorative border drawn free-hand in red ink around the title (f. 1a). Watermarks of crest and crowned lion as well as a two-headed eagle with a crown.
