About this Manuscript

A commentary on the first section of Jagannātha's Bhāminīvilāsa, composed by Gaṅgādhara, contains—at the beginning of the manuscript (incipit)—details about the commentator’s family. According to this, he was the son of Avanidevadeva-Govindaballāra of Dākṣiṇātya. In the colophon, the chapter is referred to as ullāsa. The manuscript includes commentary on only 127 verses and is missing a few ślokas compared to the printed edition. This Ms. is written in 11–13 lines per folio. Cover page is blank. Title present in colophon (f. 36r). Mistakes are blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. The Ms. is dated on (f. 36a).
