The short manuscript entitled Viśvantarasya Varṇana Kathā (“The Tale of Viśvantara”) is a Sanskrit verse narrative concerning Viśvantara. It describes in detail his life as a prince and during exile, with particular emphasis on his practice of dāna pāramitā (the perfection of generosity).
