Grahalāghava

The manuscript contains the work Grahalāghava by Gaṇeśadaivajña (active 1520-1554) of Nandigrāma in Koṅkaṇa on the West-coast, Son of Keśava Daivajña and Lakṣmī. Paternal uncle and teacher of Nṛsiṁha. This text is an astronomical treatise which describes the method of computations of the positions of planets. Title is taken from the marginal abbreviation. The manuscript is written in 10–11 lines per leaf. 7 leaves are foliated 1–7, upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins; verse dividers and tables in red. Manuscript is treated with yellow turmeric powder to protect it from insect damage.
