About this Manuscript

Anekārthadhvanimañjarī is a Sanskrit lexicon composed by Mahākṣapaṇaka which lists single words with their various possible meanings very similar to how modern dictionaries are formulated. The text is a valuable resource for learners and scholars as they can understand the proper nuances and interpretations of the meaning of words. This text is also sometimes attributed to Durgāsiṃha and Gadasiṃha. This Ms. is written in 9–10 lines per folio. Cover page contains title. Title colopalso present in colophon (f. 17b). Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant syllables and words rubbed with orange powder for highlighting. There are double black vertical margins on each side of the folio.
