Kārakaprakaraṇa (Siddhānta Kaumudī)

This is a Sanskrit grammar commentary on the Kārakaprakaraṇa by the renowned 17th-century Sanskrit grammarian and commentator Bhaṭṭojī Dīkṣita, who lived in Mahārāṣtra. The manuscript closely aligns with the text of Siddhānta Kaumudī and contains both the sūtras and their corresponding commentaries. While the manuscript itself is complete, the text is incomplete. The content primarily focuses on the concept of kāraka, which explains the syntactic and semantic relationships between nouns or pronouns and other elements within a sentence, such as the subject, object, or instrument. Title is taken from marginal abbreviations (f. 16a). The manuscript is written in 7 lines per leaf. 16 leaves are foliated 1–15, [16], upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins; significant syllables, words, or phrases highlighted in red throughout.
