About this Manuscript
The manuscript contains Bhagavadbhaktivilāsa by Gopālabhaṭṭa Gosvāmī, starting from verse no. 13 with an unknown commentary, part of chapter Pratiṣṭhādhikārī according to the colophon (f. 31b). The text is a Dharmaśāstra text belonging to the Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava tradition, it cites various major and minor puranic texts on which it is based on, like the Devi Purāṇa which is mentioned in the start. The text contains 20 chapters (vilāsa). This manuscript contains only the 19th chapter that too incomplete. The 19th chapter discuses topics like Mūrti sthāpanā, (f. 25a) mūrti pratiṣthā mahātmya, rituals to do after sthāpanā of the mūrti. Title is present in the colophon (f. 31a). Alternative title Haribhaktivilāsa is present in top marginal note of the same folio. The manuscript is written in 14–23 lines per leaf. 31 leaves are foliated with consonants in the Sanskrit alphabet starting with 'ka' and ending with 'ṣa' and coinciding with 31, which is also written on the final folio, upper right verso. Mistakes are blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant numbers and words highlighted in red throughout.
