Yogasaṃgraha

An anonymous Ayurvedic formulary dealing with the treatment of various diseases through compound medicinal preparations. The extant portion records numerous recipes in which the ailment is first specified, followed by the ingredients and their quantities expressed in traditional units such as tolā. The text includes preparations such as the Saṅkhukādi-golī-pācaka, composed of ingredients like śaṅkha-bhasma, marica, pippalī, and śuṇṭhī. The work belongs to the practical tradition of Ayurvedic therapeutics and pharmaceutical formulations, providing precise measurements for the preparation and administration of medicines. In the absence of a colophon, the title and authorship of the work remain uncertain. On the basis of its contents and arrangement, the manuscript may tentatively be identified with a Yogasaṃgraha, the Bhaiṣajyaratnāvalī, or the Yogaratnākara, although a definite identification is not possible without further evidence.
