Battīssīvratakathā

Battīśīvratakathā is a part of a larger work Brahmāṇḍapurāṇa. The text contains rituals, vratas (observances) and pūjās (prayers) dedicated particularly to Hindu deity Śiva in the Tryaṃbaka (Three-eyed one) form and also his son Gaṇeśa (elephant head deity) commonly kept during festival time. Udyāpana is also mentioned in the text which means the completion of the observances kept which are believed to give prosparity or happiness. This Ms. is written in 9 lines per folio. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant syllables and words rubbed with orange powder for highlighting.
