Mantra-saṃgraha

The extant text consists of repetitive invocatory formulae beginning with “Oṃ namo daśadig-anantā …” and paying homage to the Buddhas established throughout the infinite world-systems (lokadhātu) of the ten directions. The repeated and formulaic character of the text indicates that it belongs to the tradition of Buddhist dhāraṇī or mantra literature, associated with Mahāyāna and Vajrayāna ritual practices. The text appears to emphasize universal veneration of the Buddhas dwelling in the countless realms of the cosmos and may have formed part of a liturgical or protective recitation. In the absence of a colophon and owing to the fragmentary state of the manuscript, the precise title and textual affiliation remain uncertain.
