About this Manuscript

Gaṅgālaharī is a devotional text to the Hindu river deity mother Gaṅgā as the title suggests waves of the Gaṅgā. The text comprises of 52 verses describing the glory of the deity and the river. The Ms. lacks an ending and a colophon. This Ms. is written in 7–9 lines per folio. Cover page contains title. There are double red vertical margins present on each side of the folio and the edges. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Some significant syllables and words rubbed with orange powder for highlighting. The double pūrna virāma style full stop brackets and inceipt are in red.
