Āśvalāyanapavamānasaura

Āśvalāyanapavamānasaura contains Vedic verses from Soma sukta from the Aśvalāyana śākhā. Soma is a Vedic deity as well as a powerful sacred drink used for rituals and spiritual beliefs. This Ms. contains Adhyāya-1 (f.1b-6a), Adhyāya-2 (f.6a–14a), Adhyāya-3 (f.14a–21b), Adhyāya-4 (f.21b–24b), Adhyāya-5 (f.25a–26a), Adhyāya-6 (f.26a–29a). This Ms. is written 12 lines per folio. Cover page is blank with vertical and horizontal margins creating a frame. Title present in intermediate colophon after every Adhyāya. There are quadruple black vertical margins on each side of the folio. The text contain red metric accents. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant syllables and words rubbed with orange powder for highlighting. The Ms. is dated 1752 Vikrama Saṃvata, śrāvaṇavadi, 6 caṃdre (1695 CE, Tuesday, August 16).
