Golādhyāya (Adhyāya 4 of Siddhānta Śiromaṇi)

Golādhyāya is a Hindu mathematical astronomical treatise which deals with spherical geometry the study of spheres. It is the fourth and final adhyāya (chapter) of the text Siddhānta Śiromaṇi composed by Indian mathematician Bhāskaracarya (Bhāskara II 1150 CE). There is also a self commentary Marici Bhāṣya by the author himself. The other three chapters of the main text are Līlāvatī which deals with Arithmetic, Bījagaṇita dealing with Algebra, Grahagaṇita dealing with Planetary calculations. The folio right after the first one is written in a different scribal hand and dosen't belong but seems related. This Ms. is written in 5–14 lines per folio. Cover page is blank. Title present in the beginning of the text. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant syllables and words rubbed vith orange powder for highlighting.
