Śri Vasudhāradevi Vrata

The manuscript folio has letters differentiated by red and black ink to indicate Sanskrit and Newāri language. The initial folios are damaged. Śrī Vasudhārādevī Vrata is a Newar Buddhist ritual text dedicated to Goddess Vasudhārā, the bodhisattva of wealth, fertility, abundance, and prosperity. It prescribes the observance of the vrata (sacred vow), including ritual worship, offerings, mantra recitation, and the narration of the goddess's merits. The text emphasizes that devotion to Vasudhārā brings prosperity, agricultural abundance, good fortune, longevity, and spiritual merit while encouraging generosity (dāna) and ethical conduct.
