Bṛhadāraṇyakopaniṣad (Adhyaya 1-3 & 5-6)

Bṛhadāraṇyakopaniṣad belongs to the Śukla Yajurveda. Upaniṣad consists of three sections: Adhyāyas 1–2, called the Madhukāṇḍa (“Honey Section”) getting its name from the final segment ,Adhyāyas 2–3, called the Yajñavalkyakāṇḍa ("Yajñavalkya Section") , in which this sage plays the central role: and Adhyāyas 5–6, called Khilakāṇḍa (“Supplementary Section”). This manuscript contains first 3 Adhyāyas and 5th and 6th Adhyāyas . First and second Adhyāya contains each six brāhmaṇa's(six sections). The first and second Adhyāyas conveys the main teaching of the advaita philosophy and the nature of upadeśa. And third the phenomenal superimposition of the world on brahman exhibit in telling manner. Third Adhyāya have nine brāhmaṇa's ( nine sections) and fifth Adhyāya have fifteen brāhmaṇa's( fifteen sections) it deals with certain modes of meditation. , sixth Adhyāya have five brāhmaṇa ( five sections).( Brihadaranyaka Upanishad - Shankara Bhashya translated by Swami Madhavananda, page 8 to 16). This manuscript is written in 9 lines per folio. Cover page contains title. Back page is blank. Title present in colophon (f. 79b). The text contains red metric accents. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. The Ms. is dated saṃvat 1937 and śaka 1802 in (f. 79b).
