Composite Manuscript (Collection of the Vrata Texts)

A collection of four vrata texts compiled from various Purāṇas. The manuscript appears to be part of a larger work, as the pagination begins from folio 46. It contains the following texts: Budhāṣṭamīvratakathā (ff. 46a–51a) Ekādaśīvratakathā, extracted from the Kṛṣṇa–Arjuna Saṃvāda of the Matsyapurāṇa (ff. 52a–66b) Gopadmavratakathā by Kalpavallīśa (ff. 67a–72b) Siddhivināyakavratakathā, extracted from the Sūta–Ṛṣi Saṃvāda of the Skandapurāṇa The text is complete, but the manuscript itself is incomplete. "Formerly owned by Māhādevabhaṭṭa and Gaṇeśabhaṭṭa, based on the colophon of related manuscript Item 1459 (f. 4); one of whom may also have been the scribe of this manuscript.; Mahadevabhaṭṭa, active 18th century, former owner.; Gaṇeśabhaṭṭa, former owner." (Written in 9–10 lines per leaf.; 32 leaves foliated 46–72, and 130–134, lower right verso. According to the Penn. cataloguer the manuscript was formerly housed as three separate manuscripts: Items 1447, 1448, and 1451. These items are written on the same type of paper with the same European watermarks and by the same scribal hand.
