It is a Nārāyaṇopaniṣad text. It closes with ‘iti Nārāyaṇātharvaśīrṣaṃ saṃpūrṇaṃ’, showing it to be part of the Atharvaśiropaniṣad. It is striking that the Nārāyaṇopaniṣad is part of Atharvaśiropaniṣad, as the latter is a Śaivā text.
