Gaṇeśa-stotra-pāṭha

The manuscript is concerned with the worship of Mahāgaṇapati and appears to contain ritual instructions, mantras, hymns, and procedures for devotional and ceremonial practice. The opening passages prescribe the viniyoga of mantra recitation for the propitiation of Mahāgaṇapati and refer to rites performed according to tantric and mantric traditions. The marginal title “Gaṇapati and Navagraha” suggests that the manuscript also includes material relating to the worship of the nine planetary deities (Navagraha), possibly for ritual protection and planetary appeasement. The work may therefore be classified as a ritual manual combining Gaṇapati worship, mantra practice, and Navagraha rites.
