Jātakālaṅkāra

A Jyotiṣa treatise composed by Gaṇeśadaivajña mentions that he followed the Śukajātaka in composing the Jātakālaṅkāra. The author belonged to the 17th century and composed this text in 1613 at Bradhnapura on the Tāpī River in Gujarat (Pingree, Jyotiḥśāstra: Astral and Mathematical Literature, p. 94). The original work contains seven chapters, but the present manuscript includes only six of them. The chapters are as follows: Chapter 1: Saṃjñā-adhyāya (f.1b–2b) Chapter 2: Bhāvādhyāya (f.2b–6b) Chapter 3: Yogādhyāya (f.6b–9b) Chapter 4: (f.9b–10a) Chapter 5: (f.10a–12a) Chapter 6: (f.12a–12b) This Ms. is written in 11–13 lines per folio. Cover page contains title. Title present in colophon (f. 12b). Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins.
