Brahmānanda Yogānanda

This text is on Advaita Vedanta philosophy. It is composed by Vidyāraṇya(also known as Mādhava). Brahmānanda Yogānanda is the 11th chapter of the Pañcadaśī. Aim of this work is to teach the supreme truth in understandable manner and to provide guidance to the seeker through instructions. This chapter is speaks about the felicity arising from concentration, direct realization of the yogi revealing the bliss of brahman. A work contains part of an extensive commentary called the Tātparyabodhinī by Rāmakṛṣṇa running parallel, above and below, the main root text. The manuscript is written in 14–18 lines per leaf. Mistakes are covered over in yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in margins; significant syllables, words, or phrases highlighted in red throughout; vertical margins marked with double red line. According to the Penn. cataloguer, the manuscript is dated śaka 1772 (1850 CE) based on Ms. Coll. 390, Item 890 (f. 1a) and Item 893 (f. 9a), once part of the same manuscript. Watermarks on some folios with the date 1847 together with the name W. Warren & Sons. Scribe of the manuscript is Janārdana Tāhmaṇakara based on Ms. Coll. 390, Item 903 (f. 3a), once part of the same manuscript. (all accessible on the UPenn. site).
