Ādityavrata

Ādityavrata is part of the Skandapurāṇa. Ādityavrata is a set of rituals, offerings like pūjā and vrattas (observances) like dietary restrictions or fasting of a particular kind dedicated to the Sun deity Āditya. In particular vows performed on the first Sunday during the month of Āśvina (September-October) culminates into gifts. The Skandapurāṇa details different types of Āditya vratas. All these vrattas are set to be fruitful to the bearer in different ways like in the form of prosperity, salvation or progeny. This Ms. is written in 7–8 lines per folio. Text is written only on one side of the folio. The ink of the text has seeped through to the other side. Cover and back page contain title.
