Āśvalāyanaśrautasūtra pūrvaṣaṭkavṛtti (Super commentary on Devasmin's commentary on Āśvalāyanaśrautasūtra)

Āśvalāyanaśrautasūtra pūrvaṣaṭkavṛtti is a super commentary by Nārayāṇa on Devasmin's commentary the Āśvalāyanaśrautasūtra is a Kalpaśāstra text used to perform various Vedic rituals, rites, ceremonies. It is a Smṛti text based on the Aitareya Brāhmaṇa of the Ṛgveda. It is part of the 6 Vedāṅgas (Imagined body parts of the Vedic texts in the form of a person that is Vedapuruṣa) which are listed as Chanda (Feet of the Vedas), Kalpa (Hands), Jyotiṣa (Eyes), Nirukta (Ears), Śikṣā (Nose), Vyākaraṇa (Mouth). The main text is divided into 12 Adhyāyas (chapters). Pūrvaṣaṭka is the 1st part of the main text which contains the starting six chapters. This Ms. only contains the commentary. This Ms. is written in 11 lines per folio. The Ms. is dated 1876 Saṃvata, Bhaumavāsara, the 6th day of Āṣādha (1819 CE, Tuesday, June–July) in (f.118b) along with scribe Jaganātha Bhaṭṭa.
