About this Manuscript
The Pūrva Mīmāṃsā Sūtras give rules for interpretating the Vedas and philosophical justifications for the observance of Vedic ritual. For Mīmāṃsakas, the cycle of karma is perpetual, where the best one can aim for is higher birth among the Devas, and the Vedās engage humanity in rituals in order to create good karma.
