About this Manuscript

(1 is on Śanigraha,2 nd Rāhugraha,3 rd Ketugraha and 4rth janmagraha) floral shaped diagrams on different planets. At the centre of each diagram is written Devadatta.Perhaps the diagrams of Maṇḍala Yantra are prepared by someone Devadatta by name. The first picture of Sanskrit Śani or Saturn is one of the most influential planet of Karma . In Sanskrit Śani comes from Śaniścara, which means slow mover.Instead of rewarding with easy, instant gratification, Śani’s influence brings obstacles, delays and hardships. These struggles are designed to teach patience, discipline, maturity and spiritual growth. In the diagram Śaniścaragraha śani is written in each of eight petals. Second one is Rāhugraha. In the eight-petalled floral shaped diagram Rāhurāja is written in each petals of the diagram. Rāhu is not a physical planet. It is a shadow entity. Rāhu and Ketu, the twin planets of Hindu Astronomy symbolize eclipses. In the next folio (noted as no.14) two floral shaped diagrams remain, one is on Ketugraha and other is on janmagraha. In the diagram Ketugraha is written in each of eight petals and in the diagram Janmagraha janma is written in each of eight petals.
