Āśvalāyanasūtratātparyavyākhyā

Āśvalāyanasūtratātparyavyākhyā is a commentary on a section of the Āśvalāyanasūtra is a Kalpaśāstra text used to perform various Vedic rituals, rites, ceremonies. It is a Smṛti text based on the Aitareya Brāhmaṇa of the Ṛgveda. It is part of the 6 Vedāṅgas (Imagined body parts of the Vedic texts in the form of a person that is Vedapuruṣa) which are listed as Chanda (Feet of the Vedas), Kalpa (Hands), Jyotiṣa (Eyes), Nirukta (Ears), Śikṣā (Nose), Vyākaraṇa (Mouth). The main text is divided into 12 Adhyāyas (chapters).This Ms. is written in 12–14 lines per folio. Title present in colophon (f. 8b). There are triple red vertical margins on each side of the folio. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant syllables and words rubbed with orange powder for highlighting. The Ms. is dated śaka 1729 in (f. 8b). Manuscript is part of a group of manuscripts written by or under the direction of Sadāśiva, along with Ms. Coll. 390; Items 1276, 1279, 1281, 1282, 1283, 1284, 1285, 1286, 1287, 1288, 1289, 1292, 1293, 1294, 1295, 1296, 1297, 1298, 1299, and 1300.
