Chāndogya Upaniṣad (8 prapāṭhakas)

An Upaniṣadic treatise, it is part of the Chāndogya Brāhmaṇa of the Tāṇḍya school of the Sāmaveda. Considered one of the earliest Upaniṣadic texts, it discusses Brahman (the supreme reality), liberation, and the means to attain it. The text comprises of eight prapāṭhakas (chapters), which are further divided into subchapters (khaṇḍas). However, this manuscript inaccurately reflects the chapter divisions—it mentions only the prapāṭhakas and omits the khaṇḍas. Additionally, folios 39 to 45 are missing from the manuscript.
