Āsurīprayoga

Āsurīprayoga is a tantra text. It contains Poojā vidhi and tantrik mantras. The rituals contain Nyāsa part which are the hand and head gestures to be done while reciting for accurate and correct recitation of mantras which is typical of tantric texts. There is a mention of Dīkṣā for Śudra and Vaiśya clans in (f.2b). The text may have be inspired or based on the Atharvanic work of Āsurī-Kalpa. There is some debate ont the etymology of Āsurī being just a deity or a leaf of a particular special plant. This manuscript is written 6–7 lines per folio. Back page is blank. There are double red vertical margins on each side of the folio. Mistakes are covered with yellow crossed or blacked out. Folios are treated with yellow turmeric powder. The manuscript is dated 1870 vaiśakha vadī pustakakāra written by a second hand in a casual devanāgarī.
