Gopīcandanopaniṣad

Gopīcandanopaniṣad is a Upaniṣad listed among the 95 minor upaniṣads in the Muktikā Upaniṣad. It is a medieval period Vaiṣnava upaniṣad focussing on the application of gopīcandana (sandal wood paste) which is applied to the forehead by devotees of Viṣnu creating a mark called a tilaka. Some of the stanzas of the Ms. do not match the standard editions of the text. This Ms. is written in 21 lines per folio. Title present in colophon (f.1b).
