(Composite Manuscript) 1. Malamāsavrata 2. Aśvatthapūjana

This is a composite manuscript containing two texts. The 1st text is Malamāsavrata from (f.1a–2b) in part 1. The text describes rituals and Vratas (observances) specifically for Adhimāsa the extra intercalary month which is added in the Luni-solor calendar. This month is also known as the Malamāsa (impure month) being associated with misfortune and considered inauspicious. The rituals and observances are believed to alleviate such negative associations. Malamāsavrata is drawn from the Bhaviṣyottarapurāṇa. The 2nd text is Aśvatthapūjana from (f.1a) in part2. This text gives details on performing various Hindu rituals and rites around the Peepal or Aśvattha tree (Ficus religiosa). This text also may be drawn from a larger work. This Ms. is written in 9–10 lines per folio. Title present in colophon (f. 4b). There are double black vertical margins on eash side of the folio. Mistakes are blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins.
