"This Sanskrit mahākāvya (‘epic poem’) by Kālidāsa tells the story of several generations of the descendants of Raghu, ancestor of Rāma (‘vaṃśa’ means lineage). This manuscript contains the 11th canto along with ‘Sañjivanī’, the commentary by Mallinātha (1375–1450)."
