About this Manuscript

A ritual text describes the processes of bhūśuddhi, bhūtaśuddhi, and antarmātṛkā and bahirmātṛkā prāṇapratiṣṭhā (f. 1b–4b). The manuscript also contains several mantras and paddhatis: Gāyatrī-tarpaṇa-hṛdaya-kavaca (f. 5a–8b); Gāyatrī-utkīlana-mantra (f. 9a–10a); Sañjīvinī-mantra (f. 10b–12a); Sañjīvinī-mantra-utkīlana (f. 12a–13b); Sarva-mantra-utkīlana and Sarva-śāpa-vimocana-stotra (this text forms part of the Śaiva–Vaiṣṇava–Śākta–Saura–Gāṇapatya mantra-saṃskāra of the Matsendra-saṃhitā, within the Śiva–Pārvatī saṃvāda of the Pañcarātra section of the Śivarahasya) (f. 13b–15b); Gāyatrī-hṛdaya (f. 15b–18a). From the marginal abbreviations, it appears that the concluding portion of the manuscript contains the Gāyatrī-puraścaraṇa text (f. 18b–27b), followed by the Mahāmṛtyuñjaya-stotra (f. 27b–28a), Pañcapraṇava-gāyatrī (f. 28a–28b), and Tripraṇava-krama (f. 28b–29a). This Ms. is written in 6–9 lines per folio. Cover page contains title. Back page is blank. Mistakes covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins.
