Gaṅgāsahasranāmastotra

Gaṅgāsahasranāmastotra is part of a larger work it is from the 29th Adhyāya of the Kāśī Khaṇḍa of the Skandapurāṇa. The purāṇic text is listed among the 18 Mahāpurāṇas. The text contains 1000 names for the Hindu river deity Gaṅgā. Reciting the stotra is believed to removes all diseases and sins similar to bathing in the actual river. The text is presented as a dialogue between the deity Skanda and the legendary sage Agastya. This Ms. is written in 8–9 lines per folio. Cover and back page both contain title. Title is also present in colophon (f. 28a) along with the scribe and date. Mistakes are covered with yellow.
