About this Manuscript
This is a Grammatical text, Siddhāntacandrikā by Rāmacandrāśrama. It is a commentry on Sārasvata School of Grammar or Sārasvataprakriyā attributed to the Anubhūtisvarūpācārya. The text serves a similar role to what the Siddhānta Kaumudī does for the Pāṇinian school, it rearranges and explains the sutras in a topical order, it devides two parts Purvārdha and uttarārdha, Purvārdha or the first part describes f.1b Saṁjñā; f.6b Sandhi; f.16 svarānta śabda; f.22b halanta śabda; f.28 strīpratyaya; f.31b Kāraka bibhakti; f.45b Taddhita prakriyā; and uttarārdha or last parts describes following; Dhātu prakriyā. The Purvārdha paret is complete but the uttarārdha part has only 3 folios so it is incomplete. The text's physical condition is good it is readable and red ink has used for highlighting the colophone and sutras.
