Gaṇapatipūjā

Gaṇapatipūjā is a devotional text dedicated to elephant headed Hindu deity Gaṇeśa inspired from the larger purāṇic text Skandapurāṇa. The text is a section of Vratārka as mentioned in the beginning of the text. The work is a collection of rituals compiled by Śaṅkarabhaṭṭa. The text is like a manual for performing procedures for rituals and observances. In particular pūjās for deity Gaṇeśa that take place during each lunar month for prosparity and wellness. This Ms. is written in in 9–10 lines per folio. Title present in colophon (f. 5b). Alternate title Saṃkaṣṭacaturthi present in the begining of the text. There are double red vertical margins present on each side of the folio. Mistakes are blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant syllables and words rubbed with orange powder for highlighting.
