About this Manuscript
The festival of Janmāṣṭamī is the celebration of the birth of Lord Krishna The manuscritpt consists Janmāṣṭamīvrata and kathā from Bhaviṣyottara purāṇa. It explains whole vrata process, mantra for worshiping Kṛuṣṇa birth which come in hindu month śrāvaṇa (August month )(f.1b–3b). Kathā starts from (f. 3b–8b). Title is taken from colophon (f. 8). It is written in 9–10 lines per leaf. 8 leaves foliated 1–7, [8], upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are blacked out; some corrections and additions in the margins; vertical margins marked with double black line.
