Bhūtaviveka

Text is on Advaita (non-dualistic) Vedānta school of Hindu philosophy. A work also known as Pañcamahābhūtaviveka or Mahābhūtaviveka. The manuscript has a second chapter of the Pañcadaśī.(Bhūtaviveka). The text dealing with a study of the nature of the five elements (Śabda, Sparśa, Rūp,Rasa, Gaṅdh) and their differentiation from Brahman leads to Mokṣa. A work contains part of an extensive commentary called the Tātparyabodhinī by Rāmakṛṣṇa running parallel, above and below, the main root text. The Scribe of the manuscript is Bhaguvāsara. The manuscript is written in 5–9 lines per leaf. Mistakes are covered over in yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in margins; some symbols, numbers, words, and phrases are highlighted in red. According to the Penn. cataloguer, the Ms. is dated saṃvat 1843 (1786 CE) based on Item 1050, f. 7b.
