About this Manuscript

A work is dealing with the Yoga system. There are four chapters in Haṭhapradīpikā text. But this manuscript contain only 1 chapter which is incomple. It explains Chapter 1 (f. 1b to 8b) is on how to perform various Āsana. Author is refered to as Svātmārāma elsewhere (see item 1931, f. 34 a) and is also known to go by this name. Title from verse on opening folio (f. 1b) alternate title Haṭhayoga from title page (f. 1a) second alternate title Haṭhavidyā from incipit. It is written in 10–11 lines per leaf. 5 leaves are foliated 1–5, upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are covered over in yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in margins.
