Description

The Saṃhitāpāṭha is a Vedic text that deals with pitch accents. The intermediate colophon states the name of the work. Three fundamental pitch accents (Svara) are used in Vedic Sanskrit and this particular manuscript features distinct accent marks. Although the manuscript is incomplete, consisting of only eight folios. The Īṣāvāsyopaniṣad is mentioned within the text. Furthermore, while the folios are quite damaged, two wooden covers remain. One cover is inscribed with a lotus, while the other features three deities.
