Description
The work Karmaprakāśikāvṛtti is a commentary by Nārāyaṇasāmudrika or Nārāyaṇa Bhaṭṭa, (1725 CE) on the work Tājikatantrasāra or Karmaprakāśa by Samarasiṃha. The Commentator is the son of Mādhava Śrīgrāmakara of Kāśyapa gotra, a Cittapāvana brahmin. The text consists different chapters combination of planets, signs, and houses in a horoscope that create unique, often life-altering outcomes. The text is divided into sections. The manuscript lacks a beginning starting from verse 20 to 37 (f.1a–3b), Hastakarmadhikāra (14 verses) (f.3b–6b), Sahajādhikāra (24 verses) (f.6b–9a), Pitṛgaṇḍaṃtādhikāra (10 verses) (f.9a–10a), Strijātakādhyāya (6 verses) (f.10a). Title present in colophon (f. 10a). Written in 13 lines per folio. 10 leaves foliated 1–10, upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins.
