Description

This work on Sanskrit grammar, focusing specifically on the concept of kāraka, which explains the relationships between nouns or pronouns and other elements within a sentence such as the roles of subject, object, or instrument. The last (f. 27b) contains a Hindu calendrical chart that is unrelated to the main content.Title is taken from incipit (f. 1a). The manuscript is written in 10–15 lines per leaf. 27 leaves are foliated 1–26, 27, lower right verso. Mistakes are blacked out, some corrections and additions in margins; significant syllables, words, or phrases highlighted in red throughout.
