Description
The manuscript consists of Kṛṣṇa pūja, Devakī pūja,(f.1b–4b), Janmāṣṭamīvratakathā(f. 4b-16b) and how to end vrata of Janmāṣṭamī (Janmāṣṭamīvratodyāpana f.16b– 18b) from Bhaviṣyottara Purāṇa. The manuscript is written in 9 lines per leaf. 18 leaves are foliated 1–18, upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. According to the Penn. cataloguer the Ms. is written by same scribe as Items 2275, 2276, 2277, 2281, 2282, 2285, 2286, 2287, 2288, 2289, 2290, 2291 and 2293 (all accessible on the UPenn. site). The manuscript is dated as saṃvat 1817 (1760 CE) (f. 16b).
